Typical prices by type of website

Published 2026 price guides from Dubai studios and agencies broadly agree on the ranges below. They are wide because the same label covers very different projects; the next section explains what moves a quote up or down.

What actually drives the price

  • Number of unique page designs. Ten pages built from two layouts cost far less than ten pages each designed from scratch.
  • Arabic. A properly bilingual site means right-to-left layouts, Arabic typography and translated content, not a translation plugin. See what an Arabic website costs.
  • Selling online. Products, checkout, payment gateway and delivery rules add the most scope of any single feature. See what an online shop costs.
  • Booking and integrations. Appointment booking, CRM forms, WhatsApp hand-off or a property feed each add work.
  • Content. Copywriting, photography and translation are often quoted separately — or quietly left to you.
  • A CMS you can edit yourself. Worth paying for if you will update the site more than a few times a year.
  • Speed and SEO setup. Clean structure, fast pages and a page per service are what let the site be found; cheap builds often skip them.

What it costs to run after launch

ItemTypical cost
.ae domainabout 120–300 a year
Hosting, small business siteabout 10–50 a month (shared) to 100–500 (VPS)
Maintenance and updates, small businessabout 400–2,000 a month

VAT in the UAE is charged at 5%. A provider registered for VAT adds it to the build and to any monthly fees, so check whether a quote is before or after VAT.

How to compare quotes like for like

Two quotes for "a five-page website" can describe completely different projects. Before you compare the totals, check each one for:

  • What is included: domain, hosting, business email, content, translation, photography.
  • Arabic: a full right-to-left version, or English only with Arabic "available" at extra cost.
  • Revisions: how many rounds, and at which stage changes start to cost extra.
  • Ownership: the domain registered in your name, and the site files and logins handed over.
  • Timeline: a launch date in writing, and what happens if it slips.
  • After launch: who fixes things, how fast, and what a small change costs.
  • VAT: whether the figure includes the 5%.

Questions

What people ask about this.

01

How much does a basic website cost in Dubai?

A basic five-page business website in Dubai typically costs about AED 2,500–8,000 from a freelancer and AED 8,000–25,000 from an agency in 2026. Template sites can cost less than AED 3,000, while custom designs, Arabic versions and booking features push the price up.

02

Is VAT added to website design prices in the UAE?

Yes, if the designer or agency is registered for VAT. UAE VAT is 5% and applies to the build and to monthly fees such as maintenance and hosting. Ask whether a quote is before or after VAT so you compare like for like.

03

What are the monthly costs of a website in Dubai?

Expect a .ae domain at about AED 120–300 a year, hosting from about AED 10–50 a month for a small site, and maintenance from about AED 400–2,000 a month if you want someone to keep it updated and secure. Online shops also pay card fees of roughly 2.5–3.5% per sale.

04

Is a freelancer or an agency cheaper for a website in Dubai?

Freelancers are usually cheaper for small sites, often AED 2,500–8,000 against AED 8,000–25,000 at an agency. Agencies cost more because they bring a team, a process and support after launch. The right choice depends on how much the site has to do and who will look after it.
